Awards and Recognition

• Awarded the Medal of Saint Olav from His Majesty, King Harald V of Norway 
• University of New Mexico Alumni Association Faculty of the Year (2008)
• Awarded annual ASCAPlus Awards from the American Society of Composers, Arrangers and Publishers since 2000.
• Dr. Brett Robison’s doctoral dissertation (University of Arizona, 2017) was titled Bradley Ellingboe’s Requiem: Influences and Analysis for Performance.  
• Winner of the Bravos Award from the Albuquerque Arts Alliance
• Named an Honorary Duke of Albuquerque by Mayor Martin Chavez.
• Named a Regents Lecturer in 1993.  The highest distinction given a junior faculty member at the University of New Mexico and an honor held in perpetuity.
• The “Bradley Ellingboe Endowed Choral Scholarship” – donated by members of the greater UNM community – was created at the University of New Mexico Foundation in 2011.
